Car Insurance Saturn (Car Insurance). Dodge neon srt 4 exhaust sound?Dodge neon srt 4 exhaust sound? i do not own one, but why does the srt4's exhaust sound the way it does??? I love the way it rumbles and pops while still maintaining the sound of the turbo. can this sound be achieved on other cars? like i have an 08 civic si, is there a way to make it sound like an srt4 or is that something on dodge has and the way its designed. im not a car genius but would like some insight on this. thanks!! Yes. Srt4s come stock with performance exhaust and Turbochargers. The performance exhaust is what makes it sound the way it does. If you were to add a performance exhaust and a Turbo on an SI civic, it would sound exactly how how the set does. Plus you will be able to beat an actual srt4 because of Honda's race tuned K24 engine. Auto parts : Ignition Points Screw Acura 1995 . Ignition Points Spring Alfa Romeo 1996 . I just bought a 2011 BMW M3 and my sister got a 335is. Now as i was leaving the dealership, i noticed the HALO lights on my car are yellowish and the HALOs on my sisters car are white. I asked the salesman who sold the car to me, and he said M3s do not come with white HALOS, but any other 2010 and above BMW model comes with the white. Now i have seen some videos on youtube on M3s and one M3(2011) on th road that had white HALOS but i just dont know where they get it from. Does anyone know where i can get good quality HALOS? I think they are called HID angel eyes or LED angel eyes, but what I dont know is what company has the best looking and most identical to BMWs HALOs. Please help car insurance. Saturn . How to Replace the Water Hoses in a Mitsubishi 3000GTJapan's answer to the Dodge Stealth lies in the beauty of the Mitsubishi 3000GT. It is technologically supreme and very pleasing to the eye. However, you can't just stand in awe; you have to do a little repair now and then. If you own a 1995 to 1999 model Mitsubishi 3000GT, follow these steps to replace the water hoses every three years. Difficulty:Moderately Easy Instructions Things You'll Need Gates coolant hoses #GAT21541 and #GAT21975 Flathead screwdriver Pliers Marking pencil Digital camera Utility knife Coarse sandpaper Jack and jack stands Container Adjustable radiator hose clamps CoolantRemove Old Hoses Step by Step : 1 Buy the correct water/coolant hoses for your Mitsubishi 3000GT. These are the Gates preformed radiator hoses #GAT21541 (upper) and #GAT21975 (lower). If the Gates hoses are out of stock, another brand will work as long as it fits the molded area of your model year of the Mitsubishi 3000GT. 2 Use a flathead screwdriver to loosen the screw that controls the tension of an adjustable clamp to move it out of the way. Remove the old clamps depending on whether they are adjustable or tension. If the clamp is a wire tension clamp, use pliers and squeeze the clamp to move it to an area of the hose that is more pliable so it is out of the way. 3 Mark where the old hose came to on the machinery so you can put the replacement up the same amount and avoid leakage. Take a picture of the original placement if you have a digital camera so you can replicate it. 4 Cut the hose with a utility knife if it has seized to the machinery to aid in removal. Just slit the hose downward a couple of inches below the insertion point to peel it away as needed. Use a piece of coarse sandpaper to clean the area where the hose was stuck to the automobile part. Clean the other connection areas while they are free. 5 Jack up the Mitsubishi 3000GT one side at a time, put the jack stands in place and let the car down on the jack stands. Make sure you block the rear wheels. Place a container below the radiator to catch the coolant mixture so it does not go into the storm drains and thus the ground water. Pour the mixture back into an empty coolant bottle and dispose of properly according to your community's rules on toxic substances. 6 Drain the radiator by opening the drain plug located at the bottom, or take out the bottom hose. Remove the top hose by slipping it off the radiator shroud at one end and the thermostat housing at the other. Discard all the used hoses and clamps. Sand the areas where the old hose met the Mitsubishi 3000GT parts to remove pieces of hose and other grit. Install New Hoses Step by Step : 1 Reverse the steps used in removing the old Mitsubishi 3000GT hoses to install the new ones. Use adjustable clamps with screws for greater protection in holding the new hoses in place. 2 Place the clamps on the top hose and slide toward the middle of the hose. Push the hose securely onto the top opening in the radiator shroud at one end and the thermostat housing (at the top of the water pump) on the other. Tighten each clamp by tightening the screw. 3 Repeat Step 2 for the clamps and connect the hose to the bottom radiator shroud at one end and the bottom of the engine at the other. Adjust the clamps into place and tighten the screw. 4 Pour the original coolant into the radiator and fill it the rest of the way with a 50/50 blend of coolant and water up to the radiator cap line. Refill it more as it goes down until it stops percolating and making room for more coolant. Start the engine with the radiator cap still open. 5 Start up the Mitsubishi 3000GT. The thermostat will get warmer and the fluid will drop as the coolant begins to circulate. From here, you can finish filling up the radiator. Replace the radiator cap and fill up the overflow reservoir to the line marked "full." 6 Check to see that the temperature gauge doesn't run higher than before. Verify that the drain plug is closed and there are no leaks at the hose connections or anywhere else. Tips & Warnings Add lubricant to the inside of the radiator shroud at the connection to make the job easier. Never work under the hood on any car when it is hot from running. This is particularly true when working with water hoses. ResourcesBuy water hoses for your Mitsubishi 3000GT at Race Pages.
Saturn . How to Replace the Water Hoses in a Mercury VillagerThe Mercury Villager is a top-notch minivan. It is smaller than a station wagon but large enough for families to find comfort on a trip. Families all over still choose the Villager, even in a used car market. Normal wear and tear occurs with radiator hoses. Follow these steps to replace Mercury Villager water hoses for model years 1999 to 2002. Difficulty:Moderately Easy Instructions Things You'll Need Gates radiator hoses #W0133-1632242 and #W0133-1629633 Slot-head screwdriver Pliers Digital camera Marking pencil Utility knife Coarse sandpaper Container Jack and jack stands Adjustable radiator hose clamps CoolantRemove Old Hoses Step by Step : 1 Visit your local auto parts store to buy the water/coolant hoses for your Mercury Villager. These will be Gates #W0133-1632242 for the upper hose and Gates #W0133-1629633 for the lower hose. Other brands are available and the preformed hoses will all fit specifically in the area meant for them on the Mercury Villager. 2 Look at the placement of the two hoses connected to the radiator to determine the correct positioning. Your new hoses will have the same shape. Loosen the old clamps on the radiator hoses with a slot-head screwdriver. Move it toward the middle of the hose. 3 Take a picture of the original placement if you have a digital camera so you can replicate it. Mark where the old hose came to on the machinery so you can install the replacement at the same point and avoid leakage. 4 Slit the top of the old hose with a utility knife if it has seized to the machinery. Cutting just a couple of inches below the insertion point will allow you to peel it away as needed. Use a piece of coarse sandpaper to clean the area where the hose was stuck to the automobile part. Clean the other connection areas while they are free. 5 Place a container on the ground below the radiator to catch the expelled coolant so it does not go into the storm drains or the ground water. Block the rear wheels and jack up the Mercury Villager one side at a time. 6 Drain the radiator by opening the drain plug located at the bottom, or take out the bottom hose. Remove the top hose by slipping it off the radiator shroud at one end and the thermostat housing at the other. Discard all the used hoses and clamps. *Some engines, like General Motors' 2.3-liter Quad-four, have no spark plug wires, and you can't see the spark plugs until you remove the aluminum cover that's bolted to the top of that engine. Before you take care of your spark plugs, you must understand what the terms cylinder sequence and firing order mean. Cylinder sequence The cylinder sequence of an engine is the order in which the cylinders of the engine are numbered. This sequence varies from one type of vehicle to another, depending on whether it has front-wheel drive or rear-wheel drive and whether the vehicle has a "straight" (sometimes called "in-line") engine, a V-type engine, or a transverse engine. Here are cylinder sequences for all of these: In all U.S.-made straight 4- and 6-cylinder vehicles with rear-wheel drive, the cylinder nearest the front of the car is called the #1 cylinder. The numbering for the rest of the cylinders (#2, #3, #4, and so on) runs in sequence back toward the firewall at the rear of the engine compartment (see Figures 12-2 and 12-3). Some foreign-built cars reverse the cylinder sequence. The #1 cylinder is at the rear, near the firewall. If you have a foreign car and no owner's manual, ask your local dealer where your #1 cylinder is. Cylinder sequence 498
